Every generation has its unique appearance. What kind of body language does the choreographer of this generation contain? What do they do? How is a performance made? People seldom know what exactly the choreographer does. “If the choreographer is a recognized career by the public, it should be listed one of the most difficult jobs,” said Jiri Kylian, the Czech contemporary dance choreographer.
Once, with the pre-production starting from spring 2012, began shooting on September, and finished shooting before the eve of the end of the world, at the end of the year. This film documents the 2012 Next Choreography Project II, as a platform for talents to publish works, hosted by the highly anticipated Taiwanese choreographer Shu-yi Chou. During the challenging process, the production team carefully explored the potential of participating choreographers by constantly asking for the possibility of choreography.
The film features four teams of choreographer of different backgrounds: Yen-Fang Yu, who has rich experience in performance at home and overseas and continuously experiments on choreography; Su-Lien Lin, who focuses on the expression of the view of inner world and admitted to the project Young Star, New Vision of the same year; Ching-Ju Chang and Yi-Jiuan Wu, both of whom are not dance majors and are new in choreography; Yi-Jie Tsai, who is the teacher of Cloud Gate Dance Classroom.
